The Life and Death Of Colonel Blimp.

Possibly my favourite scene from my #1 favourite film (well, joint #1). His storytelling, his poetic notions and pangs of nostalgia (for what SOMEONE ELSE loved!) and that invisible, sustained take; like those in the room, you stop, listen and forget everything else around you.

Unfortunately this clip ends 10 seconds too early, what you don’t see and hear is everyone stand there in silence while the sounds of traffic seep back in from outside.
